OK, so last.fm is nothing new. I signed up a while back, but I never actually got around to setting up a client. Since moving into the new flat back in September I haven’t been playing music through my PC, I’ve been using XBMC, since my xbox is plugged into the hifi and the PC’s not.
Today I updated XBMC to the lastest stable version (I’ve had bad experiences running the svn builds in the past), so I’m now using v2.0.1 final. No noticeable changes from the last version I was using, but I thought I might as well. It continues to amaze me just how good XBMC is these days - I remember using it back when it was what can only be described as ’sketchy’, not much fun.
So, I’ve configured XBMC for last.fm and put a chart image on my blog. See far left menu, under ‘recent music’. Now the whole world can see what random music I listen to
Also, I’ve finally finished the work I needed (well, wanted) to get done before Christmas. Woo for me. I think it’s time for a well earned rest (and drink) for a week or so.
